Job summary

Bowser Automotive Inc. is seeking a Used Cars Service Technician to repair, inspect, and maintain used vehicles brought to the dealership.

The role requires keeping inspection and emission licenses up to date and complying with industry mandates and technologies. The technician will test systems, identify problems, follow checklists, perform maintenance from oil changes to A/C repairs, and assist service staff while communicating clearly with customers.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Valid state inspection and emission license
• Valid drivers' license and good driving record
• Ability to multitask

Responsibilities

• Test vehicle parts and systems for correct operation.
• Identify mechanical problems, often by using diagnostic equipment.
• Follow checklists to ensure all checks are conducted on each vehicle.
• Perform basic to advanced maintenance including oil changes, tune ups, transmissions, tire rotations, and electronic and air conditioning systems.
• Replace and/or repair worn parts.
• Assist Service Manager and Service Advisers in dealing with customers.
• Explain automotive problems to customers when necessary.
• Maintain all training mandated by the dealership.
• Abide by government regulations.
• Comply with Bowser safety policies and procedures.
• Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
