Job summary

Sun State Ford is seeking a Used Car Service Technician to certify and complete used vehicle inspections. You’ll perform oil changes, check fluids, inspect belts and filters, and verify that A/C, shifting, 4x4, radio, windows and other factory options operate correctly.

This role offers Ford dealer experience, with Ford Certification or ASE certifications preferred, and a minimum of 1 year in a service department. Benefits include medical, dental, 401(k), paid time off, and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical degree preferred
• ASE certifications preferred or Ford Certification a plus
• Ability to identify problems quickly and work with diagnostic tools
• Strong reading, math, and computer skills; good communication
• Willingness to learn new repair procedures and specs
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for long periods

Responsibilities

• Perform oil changes and inspect fluid levels
• Inspect belts, filters, and air levels; ensure all systems function
• Test drive and diagnose vehicle issues and verify repairs
• Use tools to repair or replace worn parts as needed
• Maintain accuracy and efficiency in diagnostics and repairs
• Operate diagnostic equipment and adhere to safety standards
