Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Must possess NCCCO or equivalent certification.
Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with supervision.
Proficient in the safe and efficient use of electrical, hand tools, power tools and layout tools as well as measurement tools.

Responsibilities

Operate crane to lift and move materials and other objects.
Plan all lifts and take charge of safety for setup, operation and load capacity.
Perform rigging inspection and daily equipment inspection.
Respond to commands from riggers or helpers.
Observe load travel and prevent injury or damage.
Read boom angle and drum rotation indicators.
Estimate sizes, distances and quantities for work activities.
Inspect subordinates' work for contract compliance and correct as needed.
