Qualifications

• Spanish-speaking is required.

• Current registration with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1–2 years of pharmacy technician experience, REQUIRED (retail).
• Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, medication terminology, and insurance processing.
• Proficiency with pharmacy management systems and telehealth technologies.

Responsibilities

• Enter and process prescription orders under pharmacist supervision.
• Prepare and label medications for dispensing per telepharmacy protocols.
• Coordinate with supervising pharmacists to support verification processes.
• Manage prescription adjudication, including insurance billing and claims.
• Maintain patient records with HIPAA-compliant confidentiality.
• Assist in inventory management: ordering, receiving, stocking meds.
• Communicate with patients via phone or digital platforms to provide service.
• Identify medication-related concerns and escalate to the pharmacist.
• Ensure compliance with telepharmacy procedures and Texas laws.
• Maintain a clean, organized, secure work environment.
