LITTLE MASTERS DEVELOPMENT CENTER in Flushing, NY is seeking an energetic Teaching Assistant to support the head teacher with daily instruction and small-group activities. You will help plan lessons and reinforce concepts in a caring learning environment.

The ideal candidate has a Teaching Assistant Certification (Level I–III), a high school diploma or GED, and at least one year of experience. Strong organizational skills, enthusiasm for children, and the ability to work with diverse learners

Qualifications

• Must have Teaching Assistant Certification (Level I–III).
• High school diploma or GED.
• One year of TA experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Tutor and assist students individually or in small groups to help master assignments and reinforce concepts.
• Supervise students in classrooms.
• Provide extra assistance to students with special needs.
• Observe students’ performance and record data to assess progress.
• Teach social skills to students.
• Work under directives of the lead classroom teacher.
