Job summary

East Memphis Surgery Center is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for a full-time, on-site role in Memphis, TN. The selected candidate will work under physician or RN supervision, supporting a multi-specialty surgical team.

Qualifications include graduation from an accredited CST program, CST certification or grandfathering as allowed, BLS certification, and 1–2 years OR experience preferred. Comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program.
• CST certification, or based on state regulations, may be grandfathered in without certification.
• Prefer 1–2 years clinical OR experience; may accept 0–2 years in related field.
• Must be certified in Basic Life Support.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and maintains medical equipment and instrumentation for surgical procedures.
• Sets up the sterile field with surgical instruments, drapes, and sterile solutions.
• Follows state and federal facility regulations when attending to patients.
• Performs pre-procedure skin and body prep.
• Performs safety checks on equipment, supplies, etc., before procedures.
• Assembles sterile and non-sterile equipment and verifies functionality.
• Assists with patient prep and positioning as needed.
• Passes instruments to surgeons and assistants.
• Assists with specimen preparation and disposition.
• Cleans and restocks the procedure room and maintains inventory.
