Job summary

BayCare Health System in Tampa is seeking a Surgical Technologist Certified to support spine surgery operations on a PRN basis. You will prepare the sterile field, equipment and supplies, and assist with specimen handling under RN supervision.

Responsibilities include instrument preparation, inventory maintenance of sterile supplies, and potential patient transport assistance in the Spine Surgery Center. CST certification and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Completion of an Accredited Surgical Technology Program or 5 years acute care Surgical Tech experience.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) NBSTSA or TS-C certification is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs technical support in the perioperative period under RN supervision.
• Prepares equipment, instruments, supplies, operating room and patients to ensure sterile field.
• Coordinates preparation or disposal of specimens and assists with sterile supply inventory.
