Job summary

Methodist Medical Center seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist to provide direct patient care in the operating room under RN supervision. The role includes intraoperative assistance, instrument selection, and ensuring a sterile, safe environment.

Must have completed an accredited surgical technician program and hold CST/TS-C certification with CPR/Provider C. Full-time with variable shifts, sign-on bonuses available for different experience levels.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an accredited surgical technician program.
• Knowledge of anatomy and sterile technique.
• CPR/Provider C certification required; CST/TS-C credential preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to surgical patients under RN supervision.
• Assist the surgeon intraoperatively with retracting, suctioning, electrocautery and suturing.
• Assess patient needs and ensure safety and comfort.
• Select instruments and equipment for procedures.
• Maintain and stock department supplies and equipment.
• Uphold infection control standards and report sterility breaches.
• Support on-call and emergency responses as needed.
