Job summary

Concord Hospital in Concord, NH is seeking a Surgical Technologist/Certified Surgical Technologist to join the operating room team under perioperative supervision. You will assemble instrumentation, maintain sterile technique, and support the surgical workflow throughout procedures.

Certification in BLS for Healthcare Providers (AHA) and NBSTSA within one year, plus NH registration, are required. Prior experience is not mandatory, and the role emphasizes safety and teamwork in a high-stakes

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent; graduate from a surgical technology certificate/associate degree program.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers (AHA) certification or equivalent; NH Medical Technician license.
• National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting certification within one year.

Responsibilities

• Plans for surgical procedures by assembling instrumentation, equipment, and necessary supplies.
• Maintains the integrity of the sterile field by utilizing knowledge of aseptic technique.
• Prioritizes needs of the surgical team and the department through analysis of the daily schedule and case mix.
• Assists with maintaining a clean and safe surgical environment.
• Ensures adherence to Surgical Services Infection Control, Safety and Risk Management Policies, Procedures and Guidelines.
• Serves as a preceptor for Surgical Technologist students and new employees.
• Performs job specific requirements and other duties as assigned.
