Job summary

SCA Health in Portland, Oregon is hiring a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST). This position serves as a scrub person during operative and invasive procedures, helping prepare instruments and assist the team to ensure smooth room flow.

Candidates should be a high school graduate and graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program. Prior CST experience and current CST certification are preferred, with BLS training completed within 90 days of employment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist Program.
• Prior Experience as a Surgical Technologist preferred.
• Current Surgical Technologist certification preferred.
• Successful completion of BLS Course within 90 days of employment or documentation of current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Function as a scrub person during operative and other invasive procedures.
• Clean and prepare surgical instruments for processing and transport them to the decontamination areas.
• Assist with post procedure cleaning of the operative or other invasive procedure room and preparation of room for subsequent patients.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
