Select Physicians Surgery Center is seeking a motivated Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team.

Our center is a fast-paced ambulatory surgery center environment committed to providing high-quality care and experiences for patients and their families.

Job Summary:

• Anticipates the needs of the surgical team.
• Establishes and maintains sterile field during surgical procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensures sterility of supplies and instruments during setup.
• Assists in maintaining a sterile environment.
• Gathers surgical supplies and equipment, performs sponge, needle, and instrument counts.
• Gowns and gloves surgeons and assistants.
• Maintains accurate and updated physician preference cards.
• Retains specimens for pathology, confirming source with the surgeon.
• Transports surgical equipment for cleaning and reprocessing.
• Interacts effectively with patients and staff, respecting diversity.
• Uses universal precautions and safety practices.
• Participates in environmental hazard and infection control measures.
• Follows safety guidelines and maintains equipment.
• Serves as a resource to the healthcare team.
• Attends required training and meetings.
• Communicates courteously with all stakeholders, maintaining confidentiality.
• Maintains necessary certifications such as CPR.
• Acts in alignment with the center's mission and policies.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of surgical technician program or at least two years' experience.
• Experience in ambulatory surgical centers preferred.
• Experience with Ear/Nose/Throat procedures required.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and aseptic techniques.
• Ability to adapt quickly to patient needs.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
