Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital invites skilled Certified Surgical Technologists to join the pediatric operating room team at Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital. This full-time mid-shift role supports physicians across neural, orthopedic and ENT procedures, serving as scrub, circulation, and OR technician.

Applicants must have NBSTSA certification (or exam date before start) and complete a certified OR tech program, plus a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist NBSTSA or equivalent, exam date acceptable if not yet certified.
• Completion of a certified Surgical Technologist/Operating Room Technician program or comparable experience in the OR.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Provide scrub, circulation, and surgical team support across a wide range of procedures.
• Assist in care, preparation and maintenance of supplies and equipment in the OR.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment and support physicians throughout pediatric surgeries.

Certified Surgical Technologist - Pediatric Operating Room - Mid Shift

Join our high-profile team, and build on our reputation for excellence as you provide crucial support to physicians throughout a wide range of surgical procedures (e.g., neurological, orthopedic and ENT). You will function as a scrub person, circulation assistant, and member of the surgical team. You will assist in the care, preparation, and maintenance of supplies and equipment in the Operating Room. This is a full time position working 11:00am-7:30pm, including rotating weekends and alternating weekend shifts, at NewYork-Presbyterian/Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital.

Preferred Criteria

• Prior experience as an OR/Surgical Tech in an acute care setting

Required Criteria

• Certified Surgical Technologist by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting Certification (NBSTSA) or if a new graduate, must supply exam date prior to start of employment. Certification must be obtained within six months of hire and complete a probationary period of six (6) months from date of hire
• Completion of a certified Surgical Technologist, Operating Room Technician or comparable training program or experience as on O.R. Technician/Surgical Technologist in an acute care setting
• High school diploma or GED
