NewYork-Presbyterian/Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to join the Pediatric Operating Room on the Mid Shift. You will serve as a scrub person, a circulation assistant, and a key member of the surgical team across a variety of procedures including neurological, orthopedic, and ENT cases.

Excellent candidates will have NBSTSA certification with the ability to obtain certification within six months of hire and complete a six-month probation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Prior OR/Surgical Tech experience preferred.

Certified Surgical Technologist - Pediatric Operating Room - Mid Shift

• You will function as a scrub person, circulation assistant, and member of the surgical team.
• You will assist in the care, preparation, and maintenance of supplies and equipment in the Operating Room.

This is a full time position working 11:00am-7:30pm, including rotating weekends and alternating weekend shifts, at NewYork-Presbyterian/Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital.

Preferred Criteria

• Prior experience as an OR/Surgical Tech in an acute care setting.

Required Criteria

• Certified Surgical Technologist by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting Certification (NBSTSA) or if a new graduate, must supply exam date prior to start of employment.
• Certification must be obtained within six months of hire and complete a probationary period of six (6) months from date of hire.
• Completion of a certified Surgical Technologist, Operating Room Technician or comparable training program or experience as on O.R. Technician/Surgical Technologist in an acute care setting.
• High school diploma or GED.

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP. NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.

Salary Range: $41.72-$51.55/Hourly
