Required NBSTSA certification or approved alternative training, plus a BLS certification. At least one year of surgical tech experience is required, with three years preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Certification from an accredited school of surgical technology.
• Minimum of one-year Surgical Tech experience.
• Three years Surgical Tech experience preferred.
• NBSTSA certification OR approved alternative training path as of 2018.
• BLS Certification from the American Heart Association.

Aufgaben

• The Certified Surgical Technologist works directly with the physician and the circulating registered nurse in each surgical procedure, understanding scope of practice and facility policies.
