Job summary

Memorial Hermann Northeast Hospital in Humble, TX is seeking a Main OR Certified Surgical Technologist to join our perioperative team. This role supports the surgeon as a scrub assistant and works under RN supervision to deliver expert care for both elective and emergency procedures.

Position requires 9am-9pm shifts (3 twelve-hour shifts), call/holidays, and a BLS-AHA certification with NBSTSA or NCCT credentialing. New grads to experienced techs considered; location is Humble.

Qualifications

• Education: Surgical technologist program graduate.
• Licenses/Certifications: BLS-AHA current; NBSTSA or NCCT certification.
• Experience: 1+ year in Main OR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports unit goals as a resource for the OR area.
• Demonstrates aseptic technique and advanced perioperative care.
• Verifies supplies and equipment prior to procedures.
• Ensures safe patient care within budget and time constraints.
• Preceptor and mentor to less experienced staff; provides orientation.
• Models Memorial Hermann service standards in caring and efficient experiences.
