Job summary

Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown in Nashville, TN is seeking a Surgical Tech to support the Operating Room. You will act as the surgeon's right hand, ensuring instruments and supplies are prepared before they are requested and help maintain a safe, efficient workflow throughout procedures.

You will contribute to patient advocacy by precise positioning, draping, and strict sterile technique, aiming for the highest standard of care. Strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or an Associate's/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable experience.
• BLS Provider within 1 month (30 days) of hire. AHA or ARC accepted.
• Surgical Tech credentialed from NBSTSA or NCCT prior to hire date.

Responsibilities

• Act as the right hand to our surgeons by anticipating every move and ensuring the exact instrument or supply is ready before it's requested.
• Protect patient safety through precise positioning, meticulous draping and safeguarding the sterile field.
• Maintain 100% accuracy in instrument and sponge counts as the final word in patient safety from incision to closure.

Education
