Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital Las Colinas in Irving, TX is seeking a qualified Certified Surgical Technologist to support operating room activities. Under supervision, the Scrub Tech provides surgical scrub, maintains sterile fields, and assists with a range of procedures, using knowledge of instruments, equipment, and supplies.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Certification in OR Technology as a (C-SA or C-ST) required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and maintains a sterile field for surgical procedures.
• Provides surgical scrub and assists the surgeon and staff during operations.
• Organizes instruments, equipment and supplies for efficient access.
• Participates in a rotating call system to ensure patient services are available.
• Adheres to hospital policies and participates in quality improvement.
