Job summary

The College of Pastoral Supervision and Psychotherapy is seeking a Certified Surgical Tech to support surgical patients by preparing the Operating Room, instruments, and supplies, while applying sterile aseptic technique to enable the surgeon's procedures. Responsibilities include passing instruments, maintaining counts of sponges, needles and instruments, and ensuring patient safety.

A graduate from an accredited surgical technology program is required, with a preference for at least one year

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited surgical technology program.
• At least 1 year of experience is preferred.
• AST certification or eligibility required.
• BCLS required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Operating Room with instrumentation, equipment and supplies.
• Demonstrate correct and safe instrumentation passing to the surgeon.
• Perform sponge, needle and instrument counts in a safe and accurate manner.
