Job summary

McLeod Health Dillon, SC is seeking an OR registered nurse to provide routine and semi-complex nursing care to peri-operative patients under RN supervision. The role ensures a safe and therapeutic environment for each surgical intervention and collaborates with the health care team to meet patient needs.

The position requires completion of national certification before or within six months of hire and BLS certification. Full-time schedule is 80 hours bi-weekly with call and no weekend work.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of national certification exam before or within six (6) months of hire.
• BLS certified (American Heart Association, or American Red Cross)

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, provides routine and semi-complex nursing care to peri-operative patients.
• Provides a safe and therapeutic environment in providing for each surgical intervention.
• Collaborates with other health care team members and professionals to meet the patient’s surgical health care needs.
• Cleans, prepares, assembles, and stores equipment in the operating room. Works with procurement to inventory and stocks supply cabinets.
