Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center in New York, NY is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for the Operating Room (Days). This full-time role supports physicians during a range of orthopedic procedures and works 7:00am to 3:30pm with rotating weekends and holidays.

You will scrub, assist Circulation, and help prepare and maintain OR supplies and equipment, contributing to a fast-paced team that delivers high-quality surgical care.

Qualifications

• NBSTSA certification required or exam date within six months of hire.
• Completion of a certified Surgical Technologist, OR Technician, or equivalent training.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Serve as scrub person, circulation assistant, and member of the OR team.
• Assist in care, preparation, and maintenance of supplies and equipment.
• Support physicians during a wide range of orthopedic procedures.

Certified Surgical Technologist - Operating Room - Days

You will function as a scrub person, circulation assistant, and member of the surgical team. You will assist in the care, preparation, and maintenance of supplies and equipment in the Operating Room. This is a full time position working from 7:00am to 3:30pm at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center. Rotating weekend and alternating holiday shifts are required.

Preferred Criteria

• Priorexperience as an OR/Surgical Tech in an acute care setting

Required Criteria

• Certified Surgical Technologist by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting Certification (NBSTSA) or if a new graduate, must supply exam date prior to start of employment. Certification must be obtained within six months of hire and complete a probationary period of six (6) months from date of hire
• Completion of a certified Surgical Technologist, Operating Room Technician or comparable training program or experience as on O.R. Technician/Surgical Technologist in an acute care setting
• High school diploma or GED

Salary Range:

$39.67-$49.57/Hourly
