Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist for the Operating Room evenings shift. You will serve as a scrub tech, circulation assistant, and vital OR team member during orthopedic cases, ensuring sterile technique and efficient instrument handling.

You will support care, preparation, and maintenance of supplies and equipment in a fast-paced OR, with rotating weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• NBSTSA certification required or exam date provided if new graduate.
• Completion of a certified Surgical Technologist program or equivalent OR training.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Certified Surgical Technologist - Operating Room - Evenings

You will function as a scrub person, circulation assistant, and member of the surgical team. You will assist in the care, preparation, and maintenance of supplies and equipment in the Operating Room. This is a full time position working 3:00pm-11:30pm at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center. Rotating weekend and alternating holiday shifts are required.

PreferredCriteria

• Priorexperience as an OR/Surgical Tech in an acute care setting

Required Criteria

• Certified Surgical Technologist by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting Certification (NBSTSA) or if a new graduate, must supply exam date prior to start of employment. Certification must be obtained within six months of hire and complete a probationary period of six (6) months from date of hire

• Completion of a certified Surgical Technologist, Operating Room Technician or comparable training program or experience as on O.R. Technician/Surgical Technologist in an acute care setting

• High school diploma or GED

Salary Range:

$39.67-$49.57/Hourly
