Job summary

Oviedo Medical Center is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to join our OR team. You will assist in the interoperative phase under supervision, contributing to safe patient care and coordination with OR staff.

Responsibilities include potential support for the LDRP department during emergencies and cooperation with the main OR to cover staffing needs. Eligibility includes graduation from an approved Surgical Tech program and CST certification, with BCLS obtained within 30 days of start

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved Surgical Tech program.
• CST certification from CAAHEP, NCCA, or TS-C certification from NCCT.
• BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivery of patient care during the interoperative phase under OR staff supervision.
• May support the LDRP department in emergency staffing needs and assist the main OR as required.

Education

Graduate from approved Surgical Tech program

CST (CAAHEP) or CST (NCCA) or TS-C (NCCT) certification

BCLS within 30 days of employment start date
