Job summary

Saint Alphonsus in Ontario, Oregon seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to support the Main Operating Room. The role involves preparing operating rooms, sterilizing equipment, and assisting during surgeries to maintain a sterile environment and patient safety.

The position is full-time (40 hours/week), with shift differentials for evenings and weekends, and eligibility for benefits from Day 1. A sign-on bonus and relocation stipend may be discussed with the recruiter.

Qualifications

• Certification as CST NBSTSA or TS-C NCCT is required.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required (ACLS/PALS may be accepted in lieu of BLS).
• One year of scrub experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge and skills to care for all assigned age groups (neonate to geriatric).
• Maintains aseptic technique and safety in the OR.
• Assists surgeons and nurses; prepares rooms and sterilizes equipment.
• Manages instrument counts and supplies; updates surgeon preference cards.
