Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for Springfield Regional Medical Center to support operative procedures. The role requires preparing sterile instruments and supplies, maintaining asepsis, and assisting the surgical team throughout cases.

Education includes an Associate's Degree or equivalent certification in Surgical Technology; CST/NBSTA/NCCT or TS-C certification is required, with BLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or Vocational Certification in Surgical Technology (required).
• Must hold CST, NBSTA, TS-C or NCCT certifications per state rules.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Provides instruments and supplies to the surgical team during procedures.
• Maintains aseptic technique and prepares sterile instruments.
• Organizes sterile supplies and equipment for procedures.
• Assists with pre/post operative room cleaning and setup.
• Prepares and performs skin prep and clipping as needed.
