Qualifications

• Completion of an Accredited Surgical Technology Program or military/hospital-based training with 5 years acute care experience.
• Certification from NBSTSA or NCCT is required.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Prepares operating room, equipment, and instruments to ensure sterile field.
• Coordinates disposal of specimens and assists with inventory of sterile supplies.
• May assist in patient transport.
