Job summary

Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Main Street in Houston is seeking a Surgical Technologist to scrub for procedures in 5 OR rooms and 2 treatment rooms.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and a surgical technician program; certification as required; ambulatory center experience preferred; strong teamwork and communication; schedule is weekdays only with possible early mornings or late evenings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required.
• Completion of Surgical Technician Program and/or equivalent education/experience.
• Certification as required by state and/or center.
• Ambulatory surgical center experience strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and patient management.
• Aseptic techniques and their implementation understood.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient conditions and needs.
• Excellent teamwork and communication to coordinate with physicians and staff.

Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Main Street is hiring a Surgical Technologist

Welcome to Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Main Street

We have 5 OR rooms and 2 treatment rooms. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in Bariatrics, Gastroenterology, General, GYN, Ophthalmology, Pain Management, Spine, Urology, ENT, Orthopedics. Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some early mornings and later evenings may be required; schedule subject to change based on surgical schedule and flow of the day.

Surgical Technologist/Scrub Tech at Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Main Street

The Surgical Technologist scrubs for surgical procedures and demonstrates competence while functioning as a member of the surgical team. Maintains a sterile field during surgical procedures. Prepares supplies, instruments, and equipment related to these procedures. Supports the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center. Supports and participates in quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED; completion of a Surgical Technician Program and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Certification as required by state and/or center
• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center is strongly preferred
• Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
• Must excel in teamwork and possess strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with staff, engage with patients, and coordinate with physicians
