Job summary

  • 3–5+ years of surgical scrub experience preferred.
  • Cosmetic or plastic surgery experience strongly preferred.
  • Excellent knowledge of surgical instrumentation and sterile technique.
  • Experience with instrument processing and sterilization.
  • Strong understanding of OR safety and infection-control standards.
  • Ability to anticipate surgeon needs and remain composed during complex procedures.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Dependable, punctual, professional, and accountable.
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Scrub and assist during cosmetic surgical procedures
  • Prepare the OR, instrumentation, equipment, and sterile field for each case
  • Anticipate surgeon needs and maintain efficient intraoperative flow
  • Maintain sterile technique and infection‑control standards
  • Assist with patient positioning, surgical preparation, draping, and room turnover
  • Perform surgical counts according to established protocols
  • Clean, decontaminate, package, sterilize, and properly store surgical instrumentation
  • Maintain sterilization records and required OR documentation
  • Monitor surgical inventory and proactively communicate supply needs
  • Assist with ordering and maintaining appropriate inventory levels
  • Ensure surgical equipment is properly maintained and functioning before procedures
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and consistently surgery‑ready operating environment
  • Work collaboratively with our surgeons, anesthesia providers, nurses, and clinical team
  • Support additional OR and clinical responsibilities as needed

Austin Cosmetic Surgery is seeking an experienced, highly organized Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join our private cosmetic surgery team in Austin, Texas.


This position is ideal for an experienced scrub tech who takes pride in maintaining an exceptionally clean, efficient, organized, and surgery‑ready operating room. We are looking for someone who is technically excellent, proactive, dependable, and capable of anticipating the needs of the surgeon and surgical team.


Our practice performs a comprehensive range of elective cosmetic procedures, including facial rejuvenation, breast surgery, body contouring, abdominoplasty, liposuction, and advanced aesthetic procedures.


Key Responsibilities


  • Scrub and assist during cosmetic surgical procedures

  • Prepare the OR, instrumentation, equipment, and sterile field for each case

  • Anticipate surgeon needs and maintain efficient intraoperative flow

  • Maintain strict sterile technique and infection‑control standards

  • Assist with patient positioning, surgical preparation, draping, and room turnover

  • Perform surgical counts according to established protocols
