Job summary

AdventHealth Castle Rock seeks an OR support professional to provide patient care in pre-operative stages and assist with specimen handling and instrument setup. You will help position patients, maintain sterile technique, and support the team for efficient case turnover.

Requirements include a Technical/Vocational School credential, a minimum of 2 years of technical experience, and BLS certification. ACLS/PALS are preferred. This is a day shift, PRN assignment at the Castle Rock facility.

Qualifications

• Technical/Vocational School diploma required.
• 2+ years of technical experience required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS/PALS preferred.

Job Description

• Provides patients with supportive care during pre-operative phases.
• Collects and labels specimens obtained during surgical procedures.
• Conducts instrument counts prior to surgical procedures.
• Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping patients.
• Conducts field preparation and maintenance.
• Ensures the operating room is sterile.
• Monitors and tracks instrument counts throughout procedures.
• Maintains surgical instruments in an organized manner.
• Assists the team with safe and efficient operating room turnover times.
• Other duties as assigned.
