Job summary

AdventHealth in Denver, CO, seeks a Surgical Technician to assist in the operating room, sterilize supplies, and prep rooms for procedures. The role requires CST or NTSC certification and BLS, with 1+ year experience preferred.

Qualifications

Job Description:

• Assists with terminal cleaning of the operating room, puts equipment, supplies, and instruments away as required, and assists in prepping the room for the next patient.
• Prepares and sterilizes supplies and equipment used in surgical procedures, reviews and replaces supplies in the surgical case following a procedure, and discards expired medications per protocol.
• Performs other duties as assigned. Sets up sterile table with instruments, supplies, equipment, and medications/solutions needed for procedures.
• Prepares solutions and medications, labels them properly, and reports amounts used for charting.
• Prepares back table and mayo stand, anticipating the needs of the surgeon using the surgeon’s preference card.

Field of Study:

• Completion of an approved Surgical Technician program

Work Experience:
