Job summary

Archbold Medical Center is seeking a Certified Surgical Technician II to assist with room setup, determine supplies with surgeons, and support circulations and patient transport in the Surgery department.

The role emphasizes instrument care, sterilization labeling, and precepting students, with opportunities to participate in Quality Improvement initiatives across Archbold’s facilities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of Surgical Technology.
• Surgical Technology certification exam preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with room set up
• Work with surgeons to determine needed supplies, instruments and/or equipment for cases and communicate to team
• Assist with circulating duties
• Ensure proper maintenance, care, and cleanliness of instruments, supplies, and equipment
• Assist with end of case room clean-up
• Prepare equipment for sterilization and proper labeling
• Assist with transport of patients as needed
• Function as a preceptor for surgical tech students and newly employed techs
• Participate in Quality Improvement projects as needed
