Job summary

Archbold is seeking an Information Security Analyst for Network Services to monitor threats and lead incident response. You will work with SIEM tools, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and EDR to safeguard the organization’s systems and data.

The role requires a CS/IT-related degree and Security+; CYSA+ within the first year. Collaboration with IT and business units is essential for aligning security with operations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or IT related field preferred.
CompTIA Security+ required; CYSA+ within first year.
Palo Alto certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor network, systems, and endpoints for security threats using SIEM tools.
Analyze logs, alerts, and anomalies to identify incidents.
Lead initial triage and analysis of security incidents;Contain, eradicate, and recover.
Perform forensic analysis on compromised systems and document findings.
Configure, tune, and maintain security tools (firewalls, IDS/IPS, EDR).
Enforce access controls and support MFA/SSO implementations.
Conduct vulnerability scans and help remediation with system owners.
Support audits and compliance with standards (e.g., NIST, PCI-DSS).
Collaborate with IT and business units on security strategy.

Job Function

Threat Monitoring & Detection

Monitor network, systems, and endpoints for security threats using SIEM tools
Analyze logs, alerts, and anomalies to identify potential security incidents
Conduct threat hunting activities to detect advanced threats

Incident Response & Investigation

Lead initial triage and analysis of security incidents
Contain, eradicate, and recover from cyber threats
Perform forensic analysis on compromised systems
Document incidents and post-incident reviews

Security Tools & Infrastructure Management

Configure, tune, and maintain security tools (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS, EDR)
Integrate security solutions with existing IT infrastructure
Assist in implementing new security technologies

Access & Identity Management

Enforce access control policies and identity governance
Review privileged account usage and investigate anomalies
Support MFA and SSO implementations

Vulnerability & Risk Management

Conduct regular vulnerability scans and assess risks
Work with system owners to remediate findings
Track and report on risk mitigation progress

Compliance & Governance

Support audits and ensure compliance with standards (e.g., NIST, PCI-DSS)
Maintain security documentation, and procedures
Assist with data classification and protection initiatives

Security Awareness & Training

Help develop and deliver user training on cybersecurity best practices
Monitor results of phishing simulations and awareness campaigns

Collaboration & Strategy

Collaborate with IT, and business units to align security with operations
Contribute to security architecture and planning discussions
Stay current with emerging threats and mitigation techniques
