Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, KY is seeking a Certified Surgical Technician (CST) to support the surgical team. The role involves preparing the operating room, handling instruments, maintaining sterile technique, and assisting during procedures.

Team members may work in the General OR or Neuro, with tuition reimbursement and career growth resources. A CST program graduate or equivalent experience and BLS within one month are required.

Competenze

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program or equivalent experience.
• BLS certification within one month of hire.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary surgical team.

Mansioni

• Prepare the operating room prior to procedures, including setting up sterile instruments, equipment, linens, and supplies.
• Check, adjust, and operate surgical equipment and other necessary devices.
• Assist with preparing patients for surgery, including positioning and draping.
• Maintain sterile technique throughout procedures.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and pass instruments quickly and safely.
• Assist with specimens, retractors, sutures, and dressings as directed.
• Restock and clean the operating room after procedures.
• Follow hospital policies and infection prevention practices.
