Position Overview

Position Highlights

1. Work location: 6100 Harris Pkwy, Fort Worth, TX 76132
2. Work environment: Surgery Department
3. Work hours: Full-Time Days, Mon-Fri, 40 hours per week. Some weekends and holidays required. Call required.
4. Experience: 2 years preferred

About the Facility

Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Southwest Fort Worth (THSW) is a 222-bed full-service facility featuring surgical and imaging services, a 24-hour emergency department, orthopedics and sports therapy, adult critical care, and a Level III neonatal intensive care unit. Serving Tarrant County since 1987, it employs approximately 1,100 staff, 120 volunteers, and over 600 physicians. The hospital holds several recognitions, including Pathway to Excellence, UnitedHealth Premium Surgical Spine, and Quality Respiratory Care.

Position Responsibilities

Assist in Robotic procedures including Urologic, Gynecologic, and General Surgery. Support in 10 OR suites providing services in Orthopedic, Spine, Podiatry, Plastics, Vascular, Gynecology, Urology, and General Surgery.

Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma or Equivalent and prior surgical technology practice before September 1, 2009, OR
• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program, Vocational Nurse Program, or military training in surgical technology (upon hire)

Experience

• 1 year current operating room experience preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• CST - Certified Surgical Technologist (upon hire)
• Or, CST with prior surgical practice before September 1, 2009 (upon hire)
• Military-trained surgical technologist (2 years required)
• LVN - Licensed Vocational Nurse (upon hire)
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support (required before providing patient care, maintained quarterly)
