Physicians Surgical Center in Lebanon is seeking a part‑time Certified Surgical Technician with central sterile processing experience for our fast‑paced ASC.
Various day shifts (Monday through Fridays); no holidays or on‑call shifts. Part‑time benefits include a 401(k) program with employer match, PTO, and medical/dental/vision benefits.
Education / Experience / Requirements
- A graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program
- Must have total joint experience
- Knowledge of central sterile processing
- At least 2 years of OR experience in a fast‑paced environment
- CPR certification
- BLS certification
Essential Functions
- Prepares and maintains medical equipment and instrumentation for surgical procedures.
- Before an operation, helps prepare the operating room by setting up instruments, equipment, sterile drapes, and solutions.
- Follows regulations and industry procedures to tend to patients during pre‑operation procedures.
- Performs pre‑operation preparations to the patient's skin, body and medical equipment.
- Assembles both sterile and non‑sterile equipment, and adjusts and checks it to ensure it works properly.
- Gets patients ready for surgery by washing, shaving, and disinfecting incision sites.
- Transports patients to the operating room, helps position them on the operating table, and covers them with sterile drapes.
- Assists the surgical team with putting on sterile gowns and gloves.
- Passe instruments and sterile supplies to surgeons and surgeon assistants.
- Holds retractors, cuts sutures, and helps count sponges, needles, supplies, and instruments; also helps prepare, care for, and dispose of specimens taken for laboratory analysis and helps apply dressings.
- Operates sterilizers, lights, or suction machines, and assists in operating diagnostic equipment.
- After an operation, helps transfer patients to the recovery room and cleans and restocks the operating room.

Physical / Mental Demands
- Ability to be on your feet for long periods and lift or turn disabled patients.
- Requires appropriate sitting and standing in a normal office environment.

- Ability to communicate verbally both in person and on the telephone.
- Ability to use computer keyboard and to view a computer monitor.
