Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Certified Surgical Tech to support safe, efficient operating room procedures across our surgical teams in Illinois. You will assist with prep, draping, instrumentation, and intraoperative care, ensuring sterile technique and patient safety throughout each case.

The role requires graduation from an accredited Surgical Technologist program, CST certification within 12 months of hire, and CPR/BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) within twelve months of hire.
• CPR – Basic Life Support.

Responsibilities

• Prepares surgical operating suite with drapes, medications, solutions, instruments, equipment, implants, and supplies.
• Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.
• Passes instruments to physician during surgery and accounts for instruments and supplies.
• Receives and processes specimens for delivery to the laboratory if required.
