Job summary

University of Southern California Arcadia Hospital seeks a scrub technician to support the operating room team under the direction of the RN. You will prepare the operating room, supply surgeons with instruments, and ensure patient safety throughout a variety of surgical procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification required.
• CST from the NBSTA certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing the operating room and instruments for surgical procedures.
• Anticipate surgeon and patient needs and provide instrumentation and supplies.
• Maintain knowledge of specialty equipment and instrument function; inspect, replace and sterilize as needed.
• Support unit teamwork and participate in quality improvement and education activities.
