Job summary

HCA Healthcare’s Utah Surgical Center in West Valley City, UT is hiring a Certified Surgical Tech to work under an RN in the operating room. You will scrub, assist the surgeon, maintain asepsis, turnover cases, and document clinical data.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program is required.
• Surgical Tech Certification required.
• One year OR experience preferred.
• Valid BCLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Scrub and assist the surgeon at the operative field.
• Direct patient care and observation as directed by the RN.
• Maintain asepsis and proper handling of instruments, sponges, sutures, drains, and dressings.
• Assist in turnover of operating rooms between cases.
• Prepare procedure rooms for use the following day and report shortages to supervisor.
