Job summary

Surgicare Wichita, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks a Certified Surgical Tech to assist in the operating room under RN supervision. You will scrub and assist the surgeon, maintain sterile technique, and support turnover between cases.

Qualifications include graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program, CST certification, and OR experience; BCLS certification is required. We are an equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Requires graduate from an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Surgical Tech Certification is required.
• One year OR experience preferred (ambulatory surgery center).
• Valid BCLS certification upon employment (online not acceptable).

Responsibilities

• Scrub and assist the surgeon at the operative field.
• Provide direct patient care and observation in the OR.
• Maintain sterile technique and asepsis for instruments and supplies.
• Aid in turnover of OR suites between cases and cleanup of equipment and environment.
• Prepare procedure room for next day by arranging equipment and reporting missing items.
