Job summary

Medical City Ambulatory Surgery Center in Fort Worth, TX seeks a Certified Surgical Tech to support safe patient care under RN supervision in the operating room. The role involves direct patient care, scrubbing, and assisting the surgeon at the operative field.

You will scrub and assist, maintain asepsis, and help prepare the OR, turnover between cases, and ensure equipment and supplies are ready for the next procedure.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Surgical Tech Certification.
• One year experience in an operating room setting (preferred in ambulatory surgery).
• BCLS certification required upon employment (online not acceptable).

Responsibilities

• Scrub and assist the surgeon at the operative field.
• Prepare the operative suite by gathering supplies and instruments.
• Maintain surgical asepsis in handling instruments, sponges, sutures, drains, needles and dressings.
• Assist in turnover of OR suites between cases and clean equipment and surfaces.
• Prepare procedure room for use next day and report shortages to supervisor.
