Medical City Ambulatory Surgery Center in Dallas, Texas, seeks a Certified Surgical Tech to assist the operating room team under the direction of a Registered Nurse. You will scrubs and assist at the operative field, support room turnover, and help record pertinent clinical data for the medical record.

The role emphasizes direct patient care, maintaining asepsis, and collaboration with nursing staff to ensure safe, high-quality surgical care for patients.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program (state regulatory requirement; otherwise preferred).
• Surgical Tech Certification.
• One year experience in an operating room setting (preferably in an ambulatory surgery center).
• Valid BCLS Certification upon employment; online certification not acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate practical, technical, or specialized skills required for the role of the surgical technician.
• Assist in preparing the operative suite by gathering supplies, equipment, and instruments.
• Maintain surgical asepsis in handling instruments, sponges, sutures, drains, needles, and dressings.
• Assist in turnover of operating room suites between cases and manage waste and cleaning of equipment and surfaces.
• Prepare procedure room for the following day by setting up equipment and reporting needed items.

Education

Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program

Surgical Tech Certification

One year experience in an operating room setting

Valid BCLS Certification
