Job summary

Medical City Ambulatory Surgery Center in Dallas, TX is seeking a Certified Surgical Tech to support operating room teams under the direction of a Registered Nurse. You will scrub, assist the surgeon, maintain sterile technique, and help with room turnover to deliver safe patient care.

Qualified candidates have an accredited Surgical Technology program, Surgical Tech Certification, and at least one year of OR experience, preferably in an ambulatory setting, plus valid BCLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program; state regulatory requirements may apply.
• Surgical Tech Certification.
• One year experience in an operating room, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center.
• Valid BCLS certification on employment; online certification not acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate practical, technical, or specialized skills required for the surgical tech role.
• Assist in preparing the operative suite by gathering supplies, equipment, and instruments.
• Maintain surgical asepsis in handling instruments, sponges, sutures, drains, needles and dressings.
• Assist in turnover of operating rooms between cases, dispose of trash and linens, and clean equipment surfaces.
• Prepare procedure room for the following day by bringing in equipment, setting up cases, and reporting needs to supervisor.
