Mount Sinai Medical Center of Florida, Inc. in Miami Beach, FL is seeking a Certified Surgical Tech to join our sterile processing and surgical team.

The role requires CPR and Surgical Technician Certification with 5–7 years of experience preferred across General, Gynecological, Cardiovascular, major orthopedic, and neuro-surgery. Responsibilities include patient positioning, sterile setup, instrument handling, and ensuring patient safety while maintaining sterile technique throughout

Qualifications

• CPR required for this role.
• Surgical Technician Certification required.
• HS Diploma; graduate from accredited program required.
• 5–7 yrs experience preferred in General, Gynecological, Cardiovascular, Major Orthopedic and Neuro-Surgery.

Responsibilities

• Assists in positioning and transferring of patients.
• Prepares, maintains, and monitors sterile setup.
• Disposes of linens, gloves, and sharps in appropriate containers.
• Transports instruments to decontamination area.
• Checks function of equipment and instruments before cases.
• Maintains sterile field until dressings are applied and patient is out of room.
• Identifies and reports breaks in sterile technique to the RN circulator.
• Insures instrument trays are complete before/after cases.
