Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Education/GED or equivalent required.
• Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience preferred.
• Scrub technician experience preferred.
• Operating room experience and/or training course preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares for each surgical case by checking required supplies and equipment prior to case.
• Assembles appropriate supplies/equipment and sets up the sterile field for operative procedures.
• Transports patients according to unit schedules and priorities and provides clerical duties as needed.
• Completes instrument, sponge, needle and blade counts with the RN according to standards.
• Maintains aseptic technique and labels solutions according to established standards.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
