Job summary

Northwestern Memorial Healthcare seeks a Certified Surgical Tech for the CDH OR on a full-time rotating shift. You will prepare the operating room, assist with patient transport and draping, pass instruments, and help track supplies during procedures.

Responsibilities emphasize maintaining sterile technique, readiness of equipment, and collaboration with surgeons and staff. Candidates must complete an accredited Surgical Technologist program, obtain CST within 12 months of hire, and hold CPR/BLS

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) within twelve months of hire.
• CPR - Basic Life Support.

Responsibilities

• Prepares surgical operating suite with drapes, medications, solutions, instruments, equipment, implants, and supplies.
• Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.
• Passes instruments to physician during surgery and continually accounts for instruments and supplies.
• Receives and processes specimens for delivery to the laboratory, if required.
