Job summary

Spring Valley Hospital in Las Vegas is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to join our operating room team. Under the supervision of licensed nursing staff, you will assist in patient care, procedures and clerical duties for the perioperative suite.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an accredited surgical technologist program, CST certification and current BLS. One year of OR experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Successful completion of a surgical technologist program accredited by a national accrediting organization.
• Must have completed a training program for surgical technologist administered by the US Public Health Service, Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines or Coast Guard.
• One year’s experience in an operating room preferred.
• Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) from NBSTSA is required. Current BLS Certification is required.
• Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service appropriate to the age of the patient.

• Responsible for performing patient care, patient service activities, procedures, clerical duties and assigned duties under the supervision of licensed nursing staff

Education
