Job summary

MetroHealth Medical Center in the greater Cleveland area seeks an operating room technician to support the surgical team. You will perform duties in the OR, keep the environment clean and efficient, and provide patient care from neonate to geriatric ages.

You will orient staff to equipment and procedures while upholding MetroHealth’s mission and service standards. Minimum requirements include graduation from an accredited School of Surgical Technology and NBSTSA CST certification, with AHA BLS

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (NBSTSA).
• AHA Basic Life Support certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to interact effectively with diverse backgrounds.

Required Qualifications:

• High school graduate or passage of a high school equivalency exam.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology.
• Possesses and maintains certification as a surgical technologist (CST) from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
• Current AHA Basic Life Support certification or obtains within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds
