Job summary

MetroHealth Medical Center in Ohio is searching for a Surgical Technologist to support operating room services. The role includes assisting in the OR, maintaining sterile and efficient operations, and providing patient care from neonate to geriatric populations.

The candidate will orient staff to equipment, serve as a role model for OR techs and students, and uphold MetroHealth’s mission and service standards while working a variety of shifts. The position offers comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) by NBSTSA.
• Current AHA BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to interact effectively with diverse populations.

Shift: Variable Shifts; 7a-3:30p, 3p-11:30p, 11p-7:30a

Required Qualifications:

• High school graduate or passage of a high school equivalency exam.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology.
• Possesses and maintains certification as a surgical technologist (CST) from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
• Current AHA Basic Life Support certification or obtains within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds
