Job summary

MetroHealth Medical Center is hiring for an operating room technician to perform OR duties, maintain cleanliness and efficiency in the OR, and deliver patient care from neonate to geriatric levels. The role includes orienting staff to equipment and procedures and mentoring students.

Required CST certification, BLS within 90 days, and the ability to work with diverse populations. Benefits and a supportive environment are offered.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology.
• Must hold and maintain CST certification from NBSTSA.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support certification or within 90 days of hire.

Shift: Variable Shifts; 7a-3:30p, 3p-11:30p, 11p-7:30a

Required Qualifications:

• High school graduate or passage of a high school equivalency exam.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology.
• Possesses and maintains certification as a surgical technologist (CST) from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
• Current AHA Basic Life Support certification or obtains within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds
