Job summary

Adventist HealthCare's Shady Grove Medical Center is hiring a Certified Scrub Tech for the Operating Room. You will assist the surgical team, pass instruments, and prepare the OR with supplies while maintaining sterile technique.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, graduation from an accredited Surgical Technician program with certification (CST preferred, TS-C acceptable with two years of recent acute care hospital experience). Night shift with on-call duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technician program and certified.
• 1 year hospital Operating Room experience preferred.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or TS-C with 2 years recent experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Surgical Team in providing safe, appropriate care.
• Pass instruments and sterile supplies to surgeons during procedures.
• Prepare Operating Room with required supplies.
• Sterilize instruments and supplies as needed.
• Serve as surgical assistant when required.
• Assist in organizing and restocking OR supplies and instruments.
