Memorial Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks a Certified Surgical Technician to join our team. You will help set up the operating room, assist during procedures, and ensure sterile technique throughout operations while delivering compassionate patient care.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Surgical technologists graduate from surgical technology program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 1 month of hire date.

Responsabilidades

• Set up the operating room and organize sterile instruments and equipment.
• Operate sterilizers, lights, suction machines, electrosurgical units, and diagnostic equipment.
• Maintain supplies of fluids (plasma, saline, blood, glucose) for use during operations.
• Prepare patients for surgery by washing, shaving, and disinfecting incision sites; transport and position patients.
• Scrub hands and arms and don sterile attire to work within the sterile field.
• Anticipate surgeon needs and pass instruments, providing sterile items efficiently.
• Prepare, care for, and dispose of specimens; hold retractors, cut sutures, apply dressings.
• Clean and restock the operating room; adhere to Joint Commission standards and attend training.
